3rd annual Gift of Giving 5K Benefiting Veterans
Tires Plus Tire Pros of Valdese, NC is hosting the 3rd Annual Gift of Giving 5K (Walk or Run) event to raise funds and awareness for local veterans. This course starts and finishes at Freedom Park in Morganton, and will lead you out and back on the Morganton Greenway.
Burke County Public School Career Development Initiative
At VX Aerospace our educational initiatives give students of Burke County’s public schools the chance to get involved in their chosen field of schooling. The internship opportunities provided give students the opportunity to jump outside of the classroom for one on one shadowing and hands-on experiences in the aerospace manufacturing industry. For the past several years we’ve been proud to collaborate with Burke County Public School’s Career Development Department. Each year, VX hosts one student per semester to work alongside our full-time production staff. Students chosen to shadow at VX are exposed to a spectrum of aerospace production processes in addition to gaining a professional advantage in their chosen field.
